Seth designed a ski to handle the steepest and deepest terrain with power and confidence. The ObSETHed is built with a Powder Rocker tip for incredible floatation and and All-Terrain tail for a larger landing platform. Narrower and stiffer underfoot than the Hellbent, it is the ideal tool for fast lines and big mountain charging. Whether you’re scoping fun mini-golf lines, sending 50 footers, or shredding AK peaks, the ObSETHed is your ski.

K2 Factory Team Technology

Twin Tip Specific Ski Shapes
Unlike other categories in the K2 line, our twin tips are designed to perform both forward and switch. The demand for products that perform well in both directions is now the norm. K2 has exceeded that challenge by developing unique radius and taper angles to maximize the skis’ bi-directional performance.

Directional Taper
Moderately wider tip than tail maximizes the skis performance in the forward direction. This means the ski makes a slightly different arc when skiing switch.

Bi-Directional Taper
The tip is still wider but closer in width to the tail. This lets the ski perform exceptionally well while skiing in the forward direction but the taper enables the skier to have similar switch arc for better and more consistent switch riding.

Symmetrical Taper
A symmetrical ski has a tip width that is identical to it’s tail width. This gives equivalent arcs forward and switch. To maximize performance, the mounting location is in the absolute center of the ski.

Twin Tech Sidewalls
This new Twin Tip specific construction process increases the durability of sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90-degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The Twin Tech construction actually rolls the top material into the sidewall reducing the angle that is prone to abuse.

ABSorb - ABS /Urethane Hybrid Sidewalls
This horizontal sidewall construction sandwiches a urethane layer in between ABS for shock ABSorption, lessening the impact of harsh landings to the rider. Urethane is used under foot to maximize dampening, but ABS is used toward the tip and tail to maximize performance and edge control.

SchizoFrantic Inserts
The K2 inserts allow for super fast mounting of the new K2/Marker Griffon and Squire SchizoFrantic binding system without the need for drilling. The increased surface area of the insert rings provides 67% more pullout strength than that of standard binding screws. The Schizo binding itself uses the tested and proven Triple Pivot Elite toe and Inter Pivot Heel with an ultra lightweight, low stand height track and cable system that enables you to mount once and adjust a full 6cm along the ski from core center for the park to traditional center for powder.

Plates and Rivets
K2 tip and tail rivets have evolved to allow the addition of a pre-cut climbing skin onto the ski for all your backcountry access needs.

3.5 mm Edges
Factory Team skis use thick, durable steel edges. It is far more resistant to cracking for a more durable, longer lasting ski.

Baseline Technology™
The biggest advancement in technology coms in the form of Baseline Profiles, the combination of rocker and camber on our Factory Team skis. The enhanced versatility, the ease of turn initiation combined with the strong secure hold on groomed snow makes it an ideal choice for nearly the entire line.

Powder Rocker™
Designed for deep snow. The tip has the most elevation and longest measurement of Rocker and offers skiers a “surfy” feel with enhanced soft snow performance. The camber region still exists to ensure edge hold on firmer conditions.

Factory Team
Intro

At K2, athletes drive innovation. Nowhere is this more evident than in our Factory Series lineup. The Factory Team athletes help K2 develop products to evolve the sport beyond the boundaries of what anyone thought was possible by crafting skis with unbelievable float in pow, rowdy graphics, flexes and profiles specifically designed for butters and presses, unparalleled responsiveness in cores, and bombproof constructions. This line reflects that drive to progress, making it easier for our pros, as well as skiers worldwide, to push their skiing to a whole new level.

Prison wasn’t as hard as people say it is, and by the time the brand was released in the late 90’s, the industry was ready for change and Denver had all but forgotten about the minor sewer explosion caused by the factory team during the urban photoshoot gone awry. Always resilient and ever indestructible, The Factory Team has been on a mission ever since and has vowed to it’s followers to produce the most innovative and game changing twin tips available. Known for their hard charging techniques, the brand members continue to push the envelope of style, design and performance, making sure every hit they have is as pure as the backcountry pow they bomb and the parks that they thrash.
